Pearson Air Museum — If you are an aviation buff, as we are, you won't want to miss this, one of the nation’s oldest operating airfields museum. It shows the rich Pacific Northwest aviation history and even has pre-WW II Army Air Corps hangars. It is within walking distance of the Fort Vancouver parking area. Phone: (360) 694-7026
Jantzen Beach RV Park — If you are driving an RV to Fort Vancouver the best place to stay is here. Although this RV park is in Portland it is just a few miles from the fort across the near-by bridge over the Columbia River. The price is moderate, the staff friendly, and it is across the street from a great shopping mall. We advise making reservations as they can get full quite often. Phone: (503) 289-7626
Boomers Burgers & Ribs — This BBQ restaurant is 3 blocks from Jantzen Beach RV Park and has some of the best BBQ we have tasted! Try their grilled chicken Caesar Salad. We talked the chef out of this recipe and have prepared it for many company meals to rave reviews. They have a great happy hour and if you get a little too happy you can walk back to your RV.
